OUR STORY

In 2014, Ed (a chef) and Vicky (a Pilates teacher) left London in search of a new life in the Somerset countryside. What they found was a crumbling 1950s cowshed with sweeping views over the Axe Valley. With determination, creativity, and a few ambitious DIY projects, they transformed it into their self-sufficient homestead, Mello View.

The journey was so unique that Channel 4’s Grand Designs followed the build in 2015. Since then, Mello View has grown into a thriving family home, smallholding, and event space - welcoming guests for unforgettable food, gatherings, and retreats.
